DESIGN STARTS WITH LISTENING
At the heart of my approach lies a commitment to listening and fostering a fun, creative, and collaborative process of getting to know you and understanding what is important to you. I have an easy, approachable nature that will make you feel comfortable and excited to explore and build upon our design ideas together, creating a project that feels like a part of you.
MY DESIGN TOOLBELT
Driven by an unwavering curiosity of successful visual communication, my design toolbelt is a diverse collection of hand drawing, CAD, 3D modeling and virtual reality skills. These allow me to adapt quickly to what we are designing and what best resonates with your own way of visualizing.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hailing from Eagle River, Alaska, my journey into Architecture was paved by my affinity for people and my passion for design. I initially honed my approach to visual communication as an art major, but I found myself drawn to Architecture because it allowed me to create Art that people could inhabit. Pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Idaho, I then gained valuable experience at several award-winning firms early in my career. In 2007, I took the leap and established my own design studio, which grew and merged in 2012 into a thriving Architecture, Interior Design, and Branding firm in downtown Seattle. Now, in 2024, transitioning to solo practice, I am refocusing on my true passion: designing single-family residences, renovations, and expansions.
I live on Lummi Island with my wife Danielle and our spirited labradoodle, Riley. When I’m not designing, I’m enjoying our beach or out exploring the San Juans on our boat.
